Tainui Novotel IBIS (Auckland International Airport)
TAINUI NOVOTEL IBIS AUCKLAND AIRPORT HOTEL
Location: Auckland International Airport Terminal
Completion: June 2010
Three water cooled chillers and twin condensing boilers provide the heating and cooling for the building’s common areas. The main air handling unit modulates airflow based on which areas are in use to save power. The building utilises individual fan coil units in each room with high efficiency EC motors, giving seamless speed modulation for the fans resulting in silent operation.
This twelve story building is directly opposite the international terminal building and features 263 rooms, conference facilities, restaurant and gym. Economech’s drafting team was significantly involved producing the overall coordinated drawings of the guestrooms to ensure that each service was given sufficient space for the install.
